Catching Up

I give up - Wynn really does look exactly like his Daddy!

We've had a rough couple of weeks at the Weiland house. Wynn has had 3 ear infections (or just one really stubborn one that won’t clear up, we’re not sure) sprinkled in with a couple of colds, lingering fevers and the cutting of his top teeth. Needless to say we haven’t been getting much sleep, which means all our immune systems are weakened and we all ended up getting sick!

Some days have been better than others, but in particular Thanksgiving weekend was pretty rough. The timing was good and bad, good because we already had the extra time off work, but bad because we were so busy with the holiday and family in town!

Wynn was just not his usual self and wanted to be mostly held and cuddled, both day and night. There is nothing that makes me feel more like a mom than taking care of my sick baby boy and I love the extra snuggles, but wow did my back ache from constantly carrying around a 20 pound weight. I also haven’t felt so much like a zombie from lack of sleep since Wynn’s newborn days!

Thankfully it has passed and Wynn is back to sleeping through the night and we are all mostly feeling better (although we may be visiting an ENT in the near future to discuss Wynn’s ears).

Now that things are starting to get back to normal I feel a little behind on things, like blogging, laundry and decorating for Christmas. Luckily we have a few quiet weekends at home to catch up before the hubbub of the holiday parties and gatherings start! We are so looking forward to Wynn’s first Christmas!
