Lazy Days of Summer

Our busy summer is beginning to wind down and we are enjoying some of the stillness of life. The weather has been so very beautiful, cooler in the mornings and evenings, yet full of sunshine during the day. It’s lovely to live in Minnesota when the weather is like this.

We have our daily routine down so well that it seems so easy now. We wake up to the big smiles of our baby boy, get ready for the day together and come home to even bigger smiles after work. No matter how busy or stressful the workday can be, those smiles make you stand still in that moment and nothing else seems to matter.

In the evenings we have our family time where we get to play together, laugh together and eat together. It is my favorite time of day. After we put our baby boy to bed we have a few hours more to relax together before turning in.

Lately I have been feeling like life is passing by too quickly, so I am grateful for this quietness so we can really soak in this wonderful happy time in our lives. We are really blessed to be so happy!
