Back in February we were able to escape the Minnesota winter and spend a week in Florida! Stepping off the plane to warm air, sunshine and green grass was such a nice feeling! My dad was the photographer of the trip and took most of the pictures below. Thanks Dad!
We went to watch my brother Kyle play baseball and my parents were so kind to host us all in a condo right on the beach. My sister Lindsay was able to join us as well, so it was (almost) a full family vacation! We missed you Matt and Erin!
We were in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area and had the chance to spend one day exploring the Tampa Aquarium. Wynn really liked seeing the fish, but his favorite part was exploring the playground outside. It was a little colder that day (in the 60's), but Wynn loved to be able to be outside after being cooped up all winter.

We tried to spend most of our time at the pool or at the beach. Wynn wasn't so sure of the beach at first, but as soon as we got down by the ocean and got out some beach toys he loved it. I've always said that Wynn is a fish out of water and he LOVED the pool! We had a hard time getting him out of it!
Another thing we discovered in Florida was lots of little lizards running around. My dad brought one back to the condo for Wynn and even though it stayed on the patio, I had nightmares of it ending up in my bed! We also discovered that Wynn thinks all animals meow, as he kept meowing at the lizards. We’ve been trying to work on some other animal sounds since then to teach him otherwise!

Another highlight was being able to visit my friend Jaci from college and her family. We don’t get to see them all that often, so it was nice to get to catch up! Jaci and her husband Jon have two little boys. We shared a boisterous breakfast at IHOP, followed by some fun on the beach. Their son Brody kept us entertained with his singing, syrup patrol and bird chasing and their son Brennan became Wynn’s fast friend. It was so cute to see them giving each other hugs!
We had such a fun trip with lots of memories made. It was so special for Wynn to get to spend so much time with his aunt, uncle and grandma and grandpa. They surely spoiled him with lots of attention (and ice cream) and even spoiled us a bit too by allowing Adam and I to have some alone time. It was hard to go back to closed toed shoes and winter coats, but as always was nice to get back to home sweet home.
