One of our favorite things to do now in the summer is go to Minnesota Twins games with their new outdoor stadium! We are fortunate to share season tickets with some of Adam’s co-workers, so we are able to get to go to quite a few games. We decided to take Wynn to his first Twins game on a Saturday afternoon and the weather was perfect – not too hot, not too cold! The Twins were off to a rough start this year, but have been better as of lately. Fortunately, for Wynn’s first game we got to see them pull off a win against the Rangers!
Adam’s brother Jon and his girlfriend Melissa were able to join us for the game. We met them first at The Bulldog for lunch. They live in North East Minneapolis and we have always loved the “Nordeast” neighborhood. We used to spend a lot of time there pre-baby so it is fun to get back!
One of Wynn’s favorite things to do is to look around and take everything in when we are out and about. We have an Ergo baby carrier and while it is SO comfy and supportive for toting a little one around all day, our only complaint is that Wynn has to face inward. Luckily we were able to get our neighbor’s Baby Bjorn carrier at their garage sale where there is the option for Wynn to face in or out! Adam is also excited for my cousin Bjorn to carry Wynn in the Baby Bjorn. :) Wynn really loved looking out at everyone at the baseball game and taking it all in!
Wynn did great in the game and he lasted about six innings. There was one time when a player made a great diving catch and the crowd erupted in cheers that caught Wynn a little off guard. However, Dad was there to save the day and help settle him down. I know that Adam and Wynn are going to enjoy many baseball games together in the future!
