We spent the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve on a retreat from work and daycare. All of the extra time together was so special and a nice break from the daily routine.
We were able to go to an indoor waterpark, which Wynn absolutely loved! He loves bath time and swimming in the summer, so we knew it would be right up his alley. He had so much fun crawling around the water fountains, floating in the pool and exploring with Adam. The water was warm, but at one point Wynn started shivering so we took a little break to get warmed up. As soon as he was warm and dry he started pointing for the water and wanted to go back in!
We also had some incredibly warm weather, so it was nice to be able to spend some time outside! While we didn’t have much snow on the ground, I was able to scrape some off of the deck railings so Wynn could have his first touch. He couldn’t quite figure out if he was supposed to eat it or not, or why it was so cold!
The best part of the vacation was just being able to relax at home. Wynn loves to help out around the house. He especially loves unfolding folded laundry, clearing out cabinets and unloading the dishwasher!
Wynn also kept very busy with all of his new Christmas toys. He got a “Let’s Rock Elmo” who sings and plays instruments. Wynn couldn’t quite figure Elmo out at first! He would swat him if he got too close and would steal the instruments away from Elmo every time we tried to give him one. Now he’s pretty fond of Elmo and likes to dance along with him!
